Finding Inner Courage at Copper Beech Institute

October 21, 2016 - October 23, 2016

Copper Beech Institute for Mindfulness and Contemplative Practice, Hartford, CT, Weekend Retreat, Finding Inner Courage.

For more details about the weekend, visit: visit Copper Beech Institute.

The original notion of the word courage means to stand by one’s core. This weekend workshop, which is based on Mark’s book, “Finding Inner Courage,” is an exploration into how to find our way to our core, to stand by our core, and to then sustain the practice of living from our core—to live out of our courage.

To encourage means to impart strength and confidence, to inspire and hearten. So, the question unfolds: How do we encourage ourselves, each other, and the world? And just what does it mean to live a life of encouragement? These notions frame the journey of this experiential workshop. Using ancient and contemporary stories, poetry, journaling and dialogue, we will delve into the:

Courage to listen to your own life
Gift of vulnerability
Willingness to experiment and explore your own voice,
Abiding commitment to respect your own and others’ journeys
Life skill of working with what we’re given

No experience is required, just a beginner’s mind and heart. This retreat will include a Saturday Night on Retreat Performance with Krizta Moon. To learn more about all the offerings included in this retreat experience, view a sample schedule.

Tuition is $250 plus accommodations. This retreat begins Friday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m. with an optional yoga class and concludes Sunday, October 23 around 1:00 p.m.
